At HEI, a custom HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) solution will be created for your home by a professionally licensed HVAC engineer. Our systems are designed to maximize your comfort, assure your interior air quality and provide complete control of your interior humidity. You will be provided with an easy to read, detailed CAD (Computer Aided Design) layout that includes:

  • proper unit and duct sizing
  • return placements
  • room-by-room CFM calculations
  • supply and return air requirements for any conditioned/sealed crawlspace
  • ventilation requirements for bathrooms and kitchens
  • make-up air calculations for tight envelope construction
  • air exchange requirements for auxiliary systems (passive/heat recovery ventilators/energy recovery ventilators)
  • 3 copies will be provided free of charge, additional copies can be obtained for $6 ea


 
This design may then be presented to each of the HVAC contractors from whom you are gathering price quotes, for an apples-to-apples comparison. By presenting contractors with an established criteria, thereby minimizing outmoded "rules of thumb," you will insure that your investment will yield the maximum return for your dollar.
